Just of recent I defend up the service interest in paid at that and I am focusing on Google ads to generate leads for my digital products which I am selling online. I do check my dashboard very often because I have the app on my phone. I’ve been looking at my campaign data, and I’m seeing that my click-through rate (CTR) is over 100%. I always thought CTR couldn’t go higher than that, so I’m a bit confused. Is it actually possible for CTR to exceed 100%, or could this be a reporting error? If anyone has experience with this or knows why it might happen? I'll be glad if anybody here in this room can clear my confusion based on this.

A click-through rate (CTR) exceeding 100% is indeed a rare occurrence and may seem confusing at first glance. However, it can technically happen due to the way CTR is calculated.

CTR is calculated by dividing the number of clicks your ad receives by the number of times it has been shown, then multiplying the result by 100 to get a percentage. In certain cases, such as if there are accidental multiple clicks by the same user or other factors, the number of clicks may surpass the number of ad impressions, resulting in a CTR above 100%.

However, it's worth investigating further to ensure there are no reporting errors or anomalies skewing the data. Check for any unusual patterns in your ad performance metrics and consider reaching out to Google Ads support for clarification if necessary.

In most cases, a CTR over 100% is not sustainable or indicative of optimal ad performance, so it's important to monitor your campaign closely and make adjustments as needed to maintain a healthy balance in your advertising efforts.
